G&J Productions is an events planning and production management company with over 25 years of experience curating and executing events throughout the tri-state area. Owners Greg Thomas and Jewel Kinch-Thomas have produced public events at Red Rooster/Ginny’s Supper Club, Aaron Davis Hall/City College, the Friar’s Club, MIST Harlem, as well as Alvin & Friends Restaurant and the Wainwright House in Westchester. G&J have worked with such celebrated artists such as Benny Golson, Ron Carter, Clark Terry, Jon Hendricks, Ossie Davis, Aaron Diehl, Bria Skonberg, Christian McBride and many others. Their latest venture, Events Odyssey, plans and executes events for private clients with exemplary chefs and entertainment at unique venues.

Greg and Jewel are event planners, producers and arts consultants in their own right. With nearly twenty-five years of business, event and production management experience, Jewel has served as an arts executive, artistic director and arts consultant. Highlights include planning and executing dance, film, and arts festivals; special events with Ruby Dee, Sonia Sanchez, and Tamara Tunie; galas with luminaries such as Phylicia Rashad, Arthur Mitchell, and Patti Austin; the NYC Economic Development Conference and Awards Luncheon; the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce’s Urban Health Conference; and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government Women of Power Conferences.

With 25+ years of professional experience as a jazz print journalist and scholar, lecturer and instructor, curator and producer, and radio and television host, Greg has planned and hosted speaker series for National Jazz Museum in Harlem and conducted pre-concert lectures and listening parties at Jazz at Lincoln Center; coordinated BAM/Bed-Stuy Restoration’s Dance Africa Youth Program; and curated and hosted symposia at Columbia University and Harvard University.
